Small experiment brings results...
Hi,
my small hf fax receiption experiment brings some results:
Japan (cropped):
Australia (cropped):
Koydo News (cropped / corruped):
Because of the possibility to see which station is to receive here in my site I caught these fax broadcasts :)
BTW: the japanese broadcast was on 3.620,6 kHz USB. This was on nonexclusiv 80m ham band.

Because of the very strong QRM the picture are more or less grey instead of black/white :(

HF Fax Propagation Experiment
Hello,
today I'm proud to introduce my small HF Fax Propagation Experiment :
http://www.mydarc.de/de8msh/hhfaxexper.html
today I'm proud to introduce my small HF Fax Propagation Experiment :
http://www.mydarc.de/de8msh/hhfaxexper.html
[*] No fax - there are no lines at 2300-2400 and 1400-1600
[*] Fax - there are two lines at 2300-2400 and 1400-1600 more or less strong
Sometimes it's an other util broadcast :)
Tools I use for that:
[*] rigctl.exe
[*] ftp.exe
[*] irfanview.exe
[*] boxcutter.exe
[*] speclab
[*] some fine arranged dos scripts :)
If the picture is white, almost, it's a bug, not a feature ;)
Note: this is only a non permanent experiment :) But it's big fun... :)

wsprspots2kml convert
Hello,
with this tool you can convert wsprsspots.csv file to the Google kml format. Syntax is convert_win_tx.exe wsprspotsfile yourcall. E.g.:
convert_win_tx.exe wsprspots-2010-01.csv DO1TP
As result of convert you get a kml file that you can open with Google Earth.
Download wsprspots2kml convert here.
Note:
*** One problem is that there are doubled (or more) entries in kml file. I'll fix it as soon as possilbe.
*** convert_win_tx.exe for send amateurs only (SWL version coming in a few days ;)
*** LX version coming soon.

WSPR - Mein neuer Favorit
Hallo,
