The latest dump1090 looks nice

I supported the dump1090 project with SVG data for 'real looking' planes. This plane shaped markers are looking way better then the original arrows.

This data is integrated in the bdavenport/terribl fork of the MalcomRobb tree.

https://github.com/terribl/dump1090

They did range rings, visualized reception data and some other cool gmap stuff, too.

So dump1090 looks little like a fusion of VRS and adsbSCOPE :).

Keep up the good work buddies.

Just trying "Remote Transceiver Control" by DK7MW

G'day.

After DK7MW released his "Remote Tranceiver Control" setup for PPi I'm very impressed of his work.

I couldn't await to try it with my dust covered YAESU FRG-100. An now here it is.

It could last a few seconds to cache the sound data. After caching sound output should start automatically. Thx 2 DK7MW!

Overlapping time signals

Itacable over WWV. Both transmitting on 10000kHz.

OFDM modem stuttering

What's happening with this modem broadcast? Any problems with cable or plug? This sounds crazy. *lol* Rare.

BC broadcasting could be hard sometimes

Have an ear to Voice of Korea vs Radio Exterior De Espana: Both stations are broadcasting on 12015kHz the same time.

Another example: Jammer vs Voice Of The People.  No. This noise isn't stanag 4285. Both BC on 6518kHz.

Or another two:

Raspberry Pi as Icecast2 server for ham radio signals

Hi ho!

A few days ago I tried to use RPi as a Icecast2 server. It should transport some audio over ip pakets from A to B. With my new soundcard it seems to work.

On my Ubuntu notebook I started fldigi then to deocde a few cw contesters doing their job.

Please note that this is just a POC based on the good work of DK7MW.

Todo:

* Plug a cat cable on the RX
* Build a simple web interface to change frequencies
